Team Members:

Julia Bradshaw, Team Leader
Julia is from South Hamilton, Massachusetts and is currently a rising sophomore at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She is double majoring in International Studies and Economics with a minor in Global Environmental Change and Sustainability. She loves running and is planning on running a half-marathon in the fall. She is an avid traveller and loves doing anything outside, especially under the sun, which makes Climate Summer the perfect activity for her!

Tara Escudero, New Media Coordinator
Tara Escudero managed to graduate from State University of New York at Fredonia in May and is headed to Houston, Texas in August.  She likes bus driving, cycling, CSA, couch surfing, light yellow, singing, change that conserves good values (interdependence, simplicity, being subversive), books, poetry (not academic), beards, church, garlic, steady state economy, cemeteries, children.  She dislikes the illusion of a free market, Bob Evans, fracking, anthropocentrism, twitter, excessive video games, PVC, pickles, binaries, and horseradish.  She loves her families on Long Island, in Elmira, and in Fredonia.

Ellie Fausold, Media Coordinator
Ellie is from Watkins Glen, NY, and is currently a rising junior at Hamilton College, where she is majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Environmental Studies. She is interested in many different environmental issues but has recently become particularly intrigued by urban sustainability. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing piano, puzzling, and playing contract bridge. She is looking forward to spending her summer on a fun-filled adventure filled with biking and community organizing!

Jacqueline Ho, Outreach and Events Coordinator
Jackie is a rising sophomore at Brown University and is especially interested in drawing the links between environmental studies, economics and politics. Her current favourite food is chocolate hazelnut biscotti from Seven Stars Bakery in Providence, RI (see photo).  She is very grateful for this opportunity to bike with 30 like-minded individuals during her freshman summer, and is most excited about going grocery shopping with her team’s trailer, and least excited about getting a tan. She comes from Singapore, where the roads are a tad too congested for bikes and where community organising is less of a deal, and she is therefore especially thrilled to be doing both of those things for the next eight weeks.  Lots of it.

Louisa Kellogg,  Movement Narrative Coordinator
Louisa is a native of Providence, RI where she spent last summer as a canvasser for Clean Water Action. During her freshman year at Boston University she was involved with environmental activism on campus and interned for Better Future Project during spring semester. Louisa will be transferring to Brown University next spring, where she hopes to study some combination of economics, environmental studies, urban studies, and bugs. After doing advance work for the RICONN team, she is thrilled to be a part of it. Louisa is really excited about being a part of this movement, getting a shorts tan, and making lots of bread. She is not so excited about hills.
